Rules & Regulation
1. Pokémon RUN 30: Malaysia Edition (‘Event’) is organised by EC PIXELS ASIA (‘the Organiser’).
2. This Event is open to all ages.
3. Any disputes arising from participation in the Pokémon RUN 30 Malaysia and Kuala Lumpur Edition shall be referred to Arbitration to be conducted in Malaysia within the Laws of Malaysia.
4. Age qualification is taken as in year of birth.
5. Participants shall agree to participate this Event at his/her own free will.
6. Participants shall abide by the Event Terms & Conditions set forth by the Organiser.
7. Participants confirmed that all information submitted during registration is complete and accurate.
8. Participants below age 18 must obtain consent from their parents/guardian before signing up for the Event.
9. Upon confirmation of participation, change to the category or other details will not be entertained. Any change of category requires a new registration.
10. The Organiser reserves the right to close entries before deadline without any notice or when the quota of a race / start is full.
11. Participants must deem fit to participate in this Event. The Organiser shall not be liable for any accident or mishap which arises as a result of non-disclosure of medical conditions by the participants.
12. Once the participant’s registration has been duly processed, there will be NO REFUND for participants who do not eventually take part in the Event for whatever reason.
13. Race entry is non-transferable to unregistered runners. Those who are discovered to participate with an unauthorized race number will be disqualified.
14. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reasons.
15. Change in sizes of the race event tee during collection is strictly NOT ALLOWED. Participants must adhere to the race event tee sizes that they have registered for.
16. The Organiser reserves the right to limit, accept or reject any entries without prior notice and reasons.
17. By signing up and providing any information, personal or otherwise, in order to gain access to and to participate in the Event or any activity(ies) relating to the Event, the participant is deemed to have given expressed permission to the Organiser, Event Manager and the Event Sponsors to use such personal information for marketing, statistical and planning purposes.
18. The Organiser reserves the right to contact the participants from time to time by any means. Any notice sent to the email address provided by the participant during registration shall be deemed as received by the participants. If a participant provides any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete or the Organiser has grounds to suspect that such information is untrue, inaccurate, not current or incomplete, the Organiser may suspend or terminate the participant's registration. There will be no fee refund upon such suspension or termination of the participant's registration.
19. The Organiser reserves the right to modify or substitute any of these terms and conditions of the Event from time to time as it deems fit. If there is ambiguity in any of the provisions, the Organiser shall be the authority to interpret and in so doing, the Organiser will take into account the interests of all the affected participants.
20. The Organiser reserves the right to change the Event Date and/or time of the Event or cancel the Event at any time without prior notice to the participants, in which case the Organiser will make reasonable effort to inform the participants prior to the Event Date. If the Event has to be cancelled, there shall be no refund unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund. If the event Date and/or time are changed, there shall be no fee refund to any participant who is unable to participate in the revised date and/or time unless the Organiser deems fit to give a refund. The Organiser shall not be liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
21. Participants must run on the designated path for the entire route. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.
22. Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the Organiser to ensure participants' safety, participants partake in this event at their own risks and the Organiser, their sponsors and their appointed officials shall not be liable for any death or injury, loss or damage, suffered or otherwise and howsoever arising.
23. The Organiser reserves the right to delay the commencement of the race in the event of inclement weather or any form of acts of God. Should the mentioned persist after the delay, deemed to be unsafe or impossible to proceed, the Organiser reserves the right to cancel the race without any refunds of fees or donations paid unless the Organiser have considerations to give a refund and The Organiser shall not be held liable for any loss or inconvenience caused.
24. All entitlement’s colour, design and material are subject to change without notice.
25. The Organiser and Event's sponsors reserve the right to use any photographs (including those of participants), motion pictures, recordings, or any other media records of the Event, for any legitimate purpose as it deems appropriate, including but not limited to advertising and publicity purposes and also for the purposes of announcing the winners in all types of media. By registering for the Event, participants hereby consent to publication or display of their details, including personal details and photographs.
26. The Organiser shall not be responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction, unauthorized access to, or alteration of, user or member communications, or any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail or players on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet and/or the Event's Official Website.
27. All transactions are in Ringgit Malaysia (MYR).
Questions participants ask before they commit.
01What is the age requirement to participate in the Pokémon Run?
All participants must be 4 years old and above.
02Can my child run alone?
Kids aged 14 years old and below MUST be accompanied by a participating parent or guardian during the run.
03Can I register on the day of the event?
No. On-the-spot entries will NOT be entertained. All registrations must be completed online prior to the event.
04Is my registration confirmed immediately?
Your race registration is only confirmed once the full payment of the race entry fee has been successfully processed. Please ensure all submitted information is complete and accurate.
05I can no longer make it to the run. Can I get a refund or transfer my slot to a friend?
No. Once registration is processed, there are strictly no refunds for withdrawals or no-shows. Race entries are also non-transferable. Anyone caught running with an unauthorized race number/bib will be disqualified.
06Can I change my name or race category after completing registration?
No. Strictly no changes of names or race categories are allowed after registration. Please double-check all details before submitting.
07How is my personal data handled?
By registering, you consent to providing your personal information to the Organiser in strict compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA).
08When and where do I collect my Race Pack and Goodie Bag?
All participants must pick up their items during the designated Race Entry Pack Collection (REPC) days. (Note: Specific dates, times, and venue to be announced soon).
09What happens if I miss the Race Pack Collection?
Participants who fail to collect their Race Pack during the scheduled dates and times will forfeit their items.
10I cannot collect my Race Pack personally. Can someone else collect it for me?
Yes. You may appoint a friend or representative to collect your Race Pack on your behalf.
11Can I exchange my event T-shirt for a different size during collection?
No. Changes to event T-shirt sizes during collection are strictly not allowed. You will receive the size you selected during your online registration.
12What happens if I arrive late for the flag-off?
Anyone arriving later than the official flag-off time will not be allowed to join the race. Please note that your official race timing commences exactly when the race begins.
13What actions could lead to disqualification from the event?
A participant may be disqualified for any of the following reasons:
● Refusing to follow rules, regulations, or instructions from the Organiser and Race Officials.
● Using someone else’s bib to run.
● Cheating (e.g., taking shortcuts, running off-track, using substitute runners, or using transportation).
● Continuing to run after the designated cutoff times.
● Littering or throwing garbage onto the race course.
● Consuming or doping with alcohol, stimulants, or prohibited drugs within 24 hours of the race.
14Will there be media coverage at the event?
Yes. The Organiser reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, or recordings of the participants for commercial or advertising purposes.
15What happens if it rains on race day?
In the event of inclement weather, the Organiser reserves the right to delay the flag-off. If the bad weather persists, the Organiser may further delay or postpone the race. Please note that no refunds of registration fees will be provided in these circumstances.
16What safety precautions should I take before the race?
Running is physically demanding. If you are unsure of your physical health, please consult a medical professional before registering. Ensure you are physically prepared, well-rested, and well-hydrated on race day.
17What should I do if I feel unwell during the run?
If you feel unwell at any point during the course, please stop running immediately and seek medical attention from the on-course ambulance or at the medical tent in the finishing area.
18Can medical staff stop me from running?
Yes. If a participant is deemed physically incapable of continuing (e.g., due to severe dehydration, dizziness, or fainting), Race Officials and Medical Practitioners have the right to prohibit them from continuing for their own safety. The Organiser's decision is final.
19Who is liable for injuries or lost items?
While the Organiser takes every reasonable precaution to ensure participant safety, you participate at your own risk. The Organiser is not liable for any accidents, mishaps arising from undisclosed medical conditions, bodily injuries, or loss/damage to personal property.
